We are going to miss all of the great people at the CBS Studios and look forward to our new studio in Rock Hill, SC. This show also features the music of James Taylor (who grew up in Chapel Hill, NC). Heather and Matt début their special features in this show as well. We talk with them about some of the struggles grandparents go through, financial, logistical, and emotional. We also speak with Lavern Weathers of the Mecklenburg County Department of Social Services to learn how DSS works with these families to help them and give them guidance. Falls are a large cause of hospitalization among senior adults, and many of those falls could be prevented. This could save time, money, and heartache associated with hospitalization of a loved one due to falling. In our show this week, we talk about a few pieces of advice such as removing throw rugs, using flat shoes instead of heeled shoes, and even knowing the side effects of medication which can lower the risk of falls among senior adults.
