Sorry, No Show on December 1st!

Hello my friends,

Unfortunately, we are being pre-empted (per our agreement with WRHI) this Saturday, December 1st. I believe there are high school football playoffs happening.

We will return to the airwaves (hopefully) on Saturday, December 8th at 10 a.m.  Remember, early sign up for Medicare ends on December 7th, so don’t delay! You can find information here on our web site, and phone numbers to call for assistance!

I appreciate all of your support, and thanks to all who have called into the show. Our phone number during broadcast hours is 803-324-1340.

Regards, david

Good morning all, and Happy Thanksgiving to our many friends and listeners. I hope that each and every one of you who read this get to spend some time with loved ones this holiday season.

I was thinking this morning, as I prepared to go to the gym (pre-dinner caloric burn off), how very fortunate I am that I have been allowed to bring  Radio 4 The Ages to you for over one year now. It wasn’t that long ago that it seemed like I would never get this labor of love launched. Whenever it appeared that all was lost, and no one believed in the mission- our sole mission, “to improve the quality of life of our senior adults by facilitating their ability to stay informed, involved, active and listened to”, a friendly face or word of encouragement came into my life. And one generous, understanding, and loving friend offered financial assistance to give wings to my inspiration.

So today, Thanksgiving, I am grateful for much in my life. I have been blessed with five healthy and productive children,  a place to live, food on the table, a life filled with purpose, an opportunity to give back to a deserving segment of our population through my show, and the faith in a God who has blessed us with much abundance. Today, if you have much, give a little to those who have next to nothing. You’ll be doing your part to make today truly a Thanksgiving celebration.
